I took a diverse and energetic group here one afternoon and it was great watching the instructors find a means to teach dance in an effective and fun manner, while also seeing their teaching pedagogy come to life. They believe strongly in dance as a transformative art form and encourage full participation from all parties in attendance. No one on the sidelines here. That said, they offer their wonderful services to the community, families, and children of all backgrounds and levels of expertise.

As a dance educator, I found Luna Dance Institute's workshops to be extremely resourceful. Many of the activities learned at these workshops are fun, and work for students of all ages. Prior to attending these workshops, I had no idea what exactly "Creative dance" was or how to apply it in a classroom. I found their Creative Dance workshops to be a very valuable resource especially for dance educators who teach dance in academic settings. These resources were practical and easy for even the non-dance teacher to teach.

Overall, Luna Dance Institute provided support, encouragement, and expanded my dance education. We need more organizations like this for artists, and art educators. Thank you.

LOVE Luna Dance!!! year round, their summer dance camp is lively and amazing as well as their classes during the school year. Our seven year old has been dancing with Luna since she was in the 2yr old parent child class, and she continues to look forward to each new level. We have experienced every teacher from the past 5yrs, and I can honestly say that they have all had great energy, and extreme patience. They have been super compassionate, and are skilled at making movement fun for kids of all ages. Luna Dance Institute is family, and we will be around taking classes until our daughter ages out of the programs, lol. Thank you Teacher Aiano for a wonderful dance camp this summer. We will see you all in the fall!

I am a dance educator in NYC. I heard about the Luna Institute through a friend, and decided to attend their Summer Workshop. I have taken many courses at the Dance Education Laboratory at the 92nd St. Y in NYC and am pursuing my Masters in dance education. These experiences provided me with a good understanding of Dance Education, but I feel that dance ed. really came to life for me at Luna. Dancing all of the lessons and being able to practice teaching and get feedback was invaluable. The master teachers at Luna are able to support emerging dance teachers and challenge seasoned ones. Luna's educational values are soundly based in child development - a piece of the puzzle I was missing before the Luna Summer Institute. I came away feeling inspired, supported and full of enthusiasm. I highly recommend Luna Dance Institute to classroom teachers, dance teachers and families looking for dance classes. This is the kind of dance education that should be offered in classrooms and studios everywhere....

My daughter attended the summer mini camp (for 5-7 year olds), and had an amazing time. She enjoyed immensely learning new ways to think about movement and space, and trying out her own interpretations of movement concepts. The instructors seemed very attentive and skilled at working with young kids. My daughter felt instantly comfortable at Luna and so excited about each day's new experiences. She's looking forward to beginning weekly classes there in the fall.
