Beth is so amazing. I love her yoga classes. I'm a stay at home mom so I've been to a lot of toddler classes of various sorts and it's rare to meet someone as genuinely enthusiastic about teaching kids as Beth is. She makes it so much fun and understands that toddlers might spend half the time running around or just observing, especially at first. She continuously invites my child back in without ever putting her on the spot. I just love yama yoga. Do yourself a favor and just go, or send your kid. It's a great spot.

My 3 and 5 year old grand daughters attended this weeks yoga camp and the 5 year old said it was the best camp she has ever been to. Both girls loved their teacher, the art activities and the yoga games they played. They did postures as well and had a totally wonderful experience. Class had both boys and girls and all the kids looked pretty happy as they left class each day.
The camp is held at the Yama Kids Yoga studio in South Berkeley and it is a spacious, friendly place! Covid safety in place with masks etc. Both girls said they wish they could stay in Berkeley and go next week too! High recommendations from these two!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jessica B.San Francisco, CA031Apr 9, 2022
I can't say enough good things about Yama Kids and their camps. Beth is a guru of teaching kids not only yoga, but breathing, social-emotional intelligence, and more. One of my kids is on the spectrum and had behavioral issues at the camp and she was so gentle, wise, and loving with him (as well as my other son and all the kids).

We love Yama Kids Yoga! I take my 2 year old most Mondays and he looks forward to it every week. Beth does such a great job making all the kids feel comfortable and introducing yoga to the little ones. My son loves showing off his yoga poses at home!
The classes are a perfect combination of structure and flexibility for an active toddler who can only stay focused for so long. I also appreciate that Yama Kids Yoga has coordinated with the Dailey Method next door so that I can work out while my son goes to yoga. He's perfectly happy to be there without me (although I often join him since it's so much fun) and Beth has some magic that allows her to manage a handful of toddlers without the whole room turning into chaos. Can't recommend it enoughHelpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Tiffany F.Oakland, CA012Jul 11, 2018
I can't say enough about Yama Kids Yoga and Beth, the best instructor ever! She is nothing short of magic with her ability to make yoga fun and engaging for kids. I have a six year old and two year old and both look forward to class with Beth. Her friendly and playful teaching approach is second to none. Beth will be teaching my girls yoga and mindfulness for many years to come!

I've been taking my 2.5 year old son to the toddler classes here. He's a really active kid but Beth holds his attention and he has a great time in class. It's such a fun thing for us to do together, and the other moms and caregivers are a very nice and chill group of people.
I love that she's made it super flexible in how you can buy 1 class or more, the passes never expire, and you can do drop ins. Yama is a great find.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Xiang L.Fremont, CA42914Aug 4, 2018
My 2.5 year old daughter loves loves loves Beth and Yama kids. This is actually her first yoga class and she is usually conserved and I'm surprised how she participated and enjoyed at the first time. Will definitely recommend to all our friends.

Yama Kids Yoga is extraordinary--in a league of its own. While I am sure Beth is as outstanding with little kids over 4 as she is with toddlers, my experience is with the toddlers.
She understands 2.5 year olds and has a seemingly endless bag of age appropriate activities which bring yoga positions into the world the toddlers know--familiar songs, colors, playful and yet moving them along the spectrum so that as they age, they will be ready for more disciplined yoga.
In some ways it was a stretch--he told his mother, it was hard. But he loved it and wants to go back.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Preet A.San Mateo, CA1182Aug 11, 2018
Beth is incredible. No one just so naturally loves kids and gets them to engaged to have a great time. Love the location and especially the secret parent loft. Do it!
